I don't really think that I am a point where running is enjoyable. I'm out of shape so its difficult, and I do find it a bit boring especially when I am on a treadmill. The other day I was chugging along and was just super irritated the entire time because my headphones kept falling out of my ears. Granted I was using iPhone headphones, which are seriously the worst. I can't even walk around and do normal chores without those falling out, let alone run.
I decided to grab a new pair of Yubuds. I had a pair in college but they didn't make it out. I remembered really liking them, so I went back to Target. I ended up going with the Yurbuds Inspire 300 for women. They retail at $39.99. As a disclaimer, I used my own money to purchase these.
The Inspire 300 Yurbuds have the same basic design. They are in ear headphones and once you put them in your ears, that is where they stay! They also come with two sizes of ear pieces so you can pick which one works best and feels the most comfortable. I personally just went with the regular size. They are designed for women's ears, which makes them fit better than any in ear headphones I have ever tried. The ear piece covers are also soft. I never find my ears hurting.
The two knew features that I really enjoy are the microphone and the magnetic ear buds. The microphone speaks for itself. It comes in handy if someone calls you. The magnetic earbuds are a new feature that I have never seen before. The magnets in the headphone connect them when you aren't wearing them to prevent the headphones from tangling up. This is actually crazy helpful! Other headphones I have had in the past, including my old Yurbuds, would get incredibly tangled. This feature keeps everything from tangling up. The earphones also come with a small pouch, so once you clip the magnets together and stick them in the pouch, you don't have to worry about tangled up headphones.
Overall I give Yurbuds an A+. They have everything I was looking for and more. I think they will be awesome for half marathon training. Anyone who is an avid runner, gym goer, or just looking for a great set of headphones, go check them out! They have multiple types to chose from, including wireless headphones. I definitely was tempted to try those but they are out of my price range at $99.99. And guy's, don't worry. There are Yurbuds made for men as well. Really I would say just look for the earphone that would best fit your own ear. I am pretty positive that this brand will have something that fits your needs (and your ears!).
